LoryStripes - Add 3D Ribbons and Stripes to Your Photos App Reviews

Fantastic app, easy to use, very fluid U.I. Problem: consistently crashing when trying to save image to camera roll. Happens on both my iPhone 5S and 4S. Currently having to screenshot the project if I want to save anything, which significantly reduces resolution.

Advanced app, very good

This app, just like the others, is still amazing. In fact, any time this developer offers a new app or improvement, Im almost a guaranteed customer. To me, that says a lot about the reputation and quality behind the developers and Pixite as a whole. Keep up the good work (and new templates/layers are always welcome)!! ❤️❤️❤️ Prior: Wow! As hard as it is to find unique editing apps out there these days, this one fits the bill!! I certainly hope to see future updates with more options added. Id even be willing to do an in-app purchase. One suggestion for the blending option: Customized colors would be really helpful! Even better, allow for true blending features, (multiply, screen, soft, hard light, etc)!

Really? All I can see is that this app allows one to add STRIPES or LINES to existing photos....I really cant believe that it would be an app that ANYBODY needs, like Ever, for Any Reason. Yeah, sure, lots of us want to EDIT our photos, make them better, brighter, more colorful, to have some sort of old timey filter...but why would I want an app that allows me to. Only. Add. Lines....or....stripes...? When would that Ever come up in anyones life?

Lory stripes is so much fun to use, its different from other apps & adds so much to my work. The whole Pixite app line is great!

I like the app, but sometimes when I upload an image, it goes black when I go to pick the stripes. Also, they should have an option to change the size of the eraser etc. so its easier to mask.

Using iOS 9 after I select a picture size it turns to a black screen in place of the photo with the stripes still functioning. Rating in hopes itll be fixed soon cause the app looks very cool

I really like this app. There is a great variety of stripes and I can not stress enough how easy this app is to use. I Highly recommend this app if you are looking for another way to give your photos that "wow" factor.

I wish they add more. Like a shark, more animals and vehicles.

You start with 2 "packs" and, of course, have to buy the rest. There are only about 10-15 ribbons per pack. Maybe 20? You can resize the ribbons, rotate and move them anywhere. The color options are set, resizing makes the ribbons range from huge to so small you cant see shadows on them, and you can adjust opacity. You can also erase parts to blend with the background. Sounds like a little, but you can do a lot with it, and make everything look great. But thats it. Each pack is $.99, which is waaay too pricy for what you get. I assume Apple states somewhere the lowest price any company can offer us is $.99, which is fine. If there was an option to buy all packs for $1.99-2.99 I would say its worth it, but I already spent money to get a disappointingly small amount of ribbons to start with. Paying a buck each seems a bit much. If Apple allowed $.50, that seems about right. If the editing tools were what they are in this companies other app, Union, Id give this app 5 stars, even with all my aforementioned "cons" because it really is a neat and fun effect to add to any number of photos. Theyre pretty good, but Unions brush options are my favorite out of any app Ive ever used that has a brush. This company makes both apps - and several more I have and love and recommend - why dont they all have Unions level of control? Its amazing, and now Im spoiled and want it everywhere. Currently, you can lock rotation, allowing you to move the ribbon without rotating it at all, which comes in handy. But Id love to see some way to lock/unlock resizing the ribbon while rotating it - so I could get it to the size I want, lock it, and then spin the ribbon around willy-nilly until I get it angled just right, with perspective & lighting and whatnot. Additionally, Id love to see a way to make the ribbons thicker or thinner, so if I make the ribbon smaller/larger to line up the twists and turns with my image, I could adjust the thickness so the ribbon doesnt either disappear or take up the whole picture. That doesnt happen too often, but adding this option would open up SO MANY more great ways to add to boring pictures. Id also like to see an eye-drop-type tool for getting colors just right, added to the current color set. That would be an amazing addition, allowing me and anyone else much more control over manipulating the ribbons. I guess what Im trying to say is, if the App originally gave the user more ways to make the ribbon blend or pop, it would totally seem worth $.99 on 10-20 more ribbons per pack. As-is, this is a really great app from a company that makes stuff I really like, and even with the current tools, this was worth the money spent. I was really sad to see only 9 other reviews, because I hope to see additions or updates, which seems unlikely without more notice. This is truly a unique app - there is nothing else like it and I want more!

Its amazing how adding a few simple stripes to a picture can greatly enhance it. Lorystripes has great defaults and buying the extra stripes is even better. I love how each stripe has 3 different positions to inspire creativity. I would recommended Lorystripes to anyone as well as any of the other Pixite apps wanting to get into any kind of editing or art.
